Tech is a technology store located inside Commodore Books & More.
We are na authorized academic reseller of products from Apple, Dell, HP, Microsoft, Lenovo, Adobe, and many other brands.
We offer Apple certified repairs on laptops, ipads, and cell phones; as well as repairs on other devices.
The ideal candidate will use problem solving and people skills to meet customer needs.
They will contribute to team effort by taking on additional tasks as needed, sometimes assisting with other areas of the store.
This is primarily a sales role, the candidate will need to be comfortable approaching customers and discussing product features and benefits.
Typical tasks include the following:
Provide efficient, courteous service at the Core:
Tech desk, as well as on the sales floor; recommend products to customers through cross-selling; respond to in-person questions in a timely and friendly manner, connecting customers to additional resources as needed; communicate customer needs and situations to the appropriate department and/or managers for further investigation; troubleshoot work related problems by sharing new ideas with other team members and supervisors; make outbound calls when customer ordered materials are in stock; answer inbound calls to assist students with their bookstore needs; assist with merchandise and orderliness of displays; clean, organize, receive, remove, and price merchandise as directed; use a practical understanding of computers to help navigate customers through the bookstore website.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
