Responsibilities:
Provide essential clerical support to the department, and offer training and assistance to lower-level technicians.
Efficiently handle the check-in and check-out process for library materials, ensuring seamless transactions for patrons.
Offer valuable information and assist patrons with collecting fines for overdue or lost materials, always providing exceptional customer service.
Assist patrons in locating materials and placing holds, going above and beyond to meet their needs.
Process patron holds promptly and accurately, enhancing their library experience.
Contribute to the organization and tidiness of library materials by shelving them in their designated places.
Serve as the friendly voice on the phone, promptly answering inquiries and directing calls to the appropriate sources.

Qualifications:
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
One to two years of relevant work experience, demonstrating your ability to excel in a customer service-oriented environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, allowing you to effectively engage with a diverse range of individuals.
Proficiency in using computer hardware and software, enabling you to navigate library systems and assist patrons with their technological needs.
Strong interpersonal skills, allowing you to establish and maintain positive relationships with both internal and external customers.
Familiarity with general office equipment, ensuring your ability to perform administrative tasks efficiently.
