76 an hour DESCRIPTION Lorain County Public Health (LCPH) is seeking to hire a part time General Maintenance Worker for 8 hours a week.
Primary duties will be within the Admin Services Division with typical work to be done within our core business hours Monday - Friday, 8:
00 to 4:
30 pm.
FUNCTION Under the general direction of the Fiscal Admin Supervisor to perform basic repairs, general maintenance, and preventative care when required.
JOB DUTIES Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment Performing preventative maintenance Handling basic repairs Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them Agency Vehicle maintenance Custodial tasks as needed Attend routine facilities meeting All other duties as assigned MAJOR WORK CHARACTERISTICS:
Proven maintenance experience.
Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
Strong organizational and follow up skills.
Eye for detail.
Professional presentation and attitude.
Ability to maintain focus while working individually.
Strong time management skills.
Minimum requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Valid driver's license and insurance Physical Requirements and Unusual Working Conditions:
Be able to lift objects of weight up to 40 - 50 pounds.
This position is office-based at LCPH with minimum travel required.
Must be able to bend, stretch, sit and stand for long periods of time.
