Our Hodge Foundry location began operation in 1876 and built a reputation for quality casting from its Greenville, Pennsylvania location. Position: Overhead Crane Operator (moving ladles, molds, etc.)
Essential Job Duties and
Responsibilities:
Overall operation of overhead and remote cranes - must be comfortable working at heights
Comfortable moving ladles filled with iron, pouring ladles
Comfortable moving large molds
Performs daily inspections of the crane for safety and maintenance concerns. Reports issues to appropriate personnel.
Performs safe operation of crane. Manipulates or depresses crane controls such as pedals, levers and buttons to regulate safe speed and direction of crane and hoist movement.
Observes load hook up and determines safety of load.
Uses hand and/or radio signals to communicate with others on the work site
Communicates effectively to personnel on the floor regarding safe operation of the crane.
Excellent coordination, focus and dedication to following safety protocols
Perform other duties as required outside of the crane to help with product flow
Must be flexible to work overtime as needed
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of the operation of the crane.
Knowledge of proper lift with crane (safety of load).
Manual Dexterity- The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or two hands to grasp, manipulate or assemble objects.
Near Vision- The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
Visualization- The ability to imagine how something may look after it is moved or when its parts are moved or rearranged.
Information Ordering- The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g. patterns of numbers, letters, words, picture, and mathematical operations).
Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions.
One year of production and/or manufacturing experience preferred.
High school diploma or GED.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Must be comfortable working at heights
Handling and Moving Objects- Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning and moving materials.
Controlling Machines and Processes- Using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes.
Inspecting Equipment, Structures or Material to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects
Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Close and distance vision necessary as well as depth perception and ability to see colors.
Although hearing is not necessarily required, individual must be able to communicate with co workers
Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking stooping and handling materials.
Indoor and outdoor climate conditions during all seasons and in varying temperatures.
Job Type: Full Time. Hourly, non-exempt.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
